What we do
Flying Car License is an independent informational publication about U.S. pilot requirements for emerging personal aircraft. We translate consumer questions into the regulatory terms needed to investigate them.
We are not the FAA, a flight school, an examiner, or a manufacturer. We do not issue certificates, offer legal determinations, or claim that our content has been reviewed by an aviation attorney or flight instructor.
How we handle evidence
- Link regulatory claims to FAA guidance or federal regulations.
- Separate aircraft certification, pilot qualifications, and operating rules.
- Distinguish enacted rules from proposals and projected availability.
- Use a visible review date when substantive content is checked.
- Avoid invented prices, training-hour guarantees, endorsements, or safety ratings.
Authorship and illustrations
Guides are published under the Flying Car License publication name. Research and drafting may use AI assistance. A publication byline does not imply professional pilot credentials or independent expert review. Original AI-generated images are labeled and illustrate concepts; they do not depict an approved aircraft or an available training provider.
Corrections and review
The current guide set was reviewed against the linked sources on September 22, 2026. We aim to review regulatory guides quarterly and when significant relevant rules change. This is a review policy, not a live regulatory monitoring service.

Independence
No manufacturer pays to appear in these guides. This site currently contains no paid training listings, affiliate recommendations, or sponsored reviews. If commercial relationships are introduced, they will be disclosed where relevant.
